Crating & Export Services

Overseas Container Crating Services

ARCO builds custom crates and prepares your industrial machinery for safe overseas container shipment—from packing and bracing to loading and securing inside the container.

Our Services

Export-Ready Crating & Packing

Shipping machinery overseas requires careful preparation to prevent damage during transit. ARCO provides end-to-end crating and container loading services from our Rockford facility.

Custom Crate Building

We build custom wooden crates sized to your specific equipment, with internal bracing and supports designed for the stresses of ocean freight.

Machine Preparation

Draining fluids, securing moving parts, applying corrosion protection, and wrapping components to protect against moisture and salt air during transit.

Container Loading

Professional rigging and loading of crated machinery into shipping containers, with proper weight distribution and securing for safe ocean transport.

Disassembly & Labeling

When equipment must be broken down to fit containers, we handle disassembly and label every component for straightforward reassembly at the destination.

Packing & Palletizing

Smaller components, parts, tooling, and accessories are packed, palletized, and inventoried to ship alongside the main equipment.

Staging & Storage

Equipment can be staged in our 270,000 sq ft heated warehouse while crating is completed and container pickup is coordinated.

How It Works

From Your Floor to the Container

Assessment

We evaluate your equipment dimensions, weight, and destination to plan the crating approach.

Disassembly

If needed, equipment is disassembled, drained, wrapped, and prepared for crating.

Crate & Pack

Custom crates are built and equipment is secured inside with bracing, blocking, and protective materials.

Load & Ship

Crated equipment is loaded into the container, secured for transit, and ready for pickup by the freight carrier.
